How to record your Google Meet appointment

When you have an appointment with a teacher, you are welcome to record your session so you can listen to it again later!

The recording has to be made on the student's end. It's not directly through Google Meet, but through your computer.

On Windows & Linux (Using OBS Studio)

  1. Install OBS Studio:
    • If not already installed, download and install OBS Studio from the official website.

    • Open OBS Studio.
    • In the Sources section, click the + button and select Display Capture.
    • Choose your display and click OK.
  3. Start Screen Recording:
    • Click Start Recording in the lower-right corner of OBS Studio.
  4. Stop Screen Recording:
    • When you're finished, click Stop Recording.
  5. Access the Recording:

The recording will be saved in the Videos folder by default.

On Mac (Using Built-in Screen Recording with QuickTime)

  1. Open QuickTime Player:
    • Go to Applications and open QuickTime Player.
  2. Start Screen Recording:
    • In QuickTime Player, click File > New Screen Recording.
