Your speaking assessments are timed as you would expect in the exam, and once submitted, you will receive your feedback within 48 hours.  Although your report card is not provided as a PDF file for copyright reasons, you can log in to your E2Language account to access your report card with feedback.

Our feedback is very detailed; it gives you an indication of how well you did on a range of criteria, as well as overall teacher comments.

For IELTS you will get your equivalent test score (i.e. a band score).

The score that you will receive is based on the official speaking criteria used by IELTS examiners to assess your speaking:

  1. Fluency and Coherence

  2. Lexical Resource

  3. Grammatical Range and Accuracy

  4. Pronunciation

The band score for each of the criteria is awarded based on the lowest band score of all sub-criteria - ranging from Band 5 to Band 8+.

This is an example of a part of an IELTS Academic Speaking assessment score report:

You will receive additional comments from the teacher on how to improve each criterion, then you will receive advice about whether you should book a tutorial to practise further:

To discuss your feedback and score in more detail, we recommend that you book a tutorial with a teacher. For more information, see How do I book a tutorial?

Or for more information on submitting your assessment, see How can I submit my assessments for feedback?
